This quote from The Lorax sums up how we view green at The Elaine Clark Center. We care about the children and families we provide services to, and we care about the world we live in. Because of this it is important that we practice green policies in ways that make sense to our program that our children can understand. We reduce , reuse and recycle whenever we can by recycling materials used in the offices and use and using recycled items for art supplies, we conserve water through our rain barrel witch helps us water our garden, we eat the vegetables from the garden, sharing them with families and we help families reuse toys their children have out grown by passing them on to the next family, or perhaps using them in the Center. By having simple green practices children can see every day we show them how to care for our earth, they learn to live a greener attitude which will help to better our environment.
