WHO WE ARE
A Community Where Every Child Belongs
For over 50 years, the Elaine Clark Center has helped children with disabilities grow, learn, and thrive through small-group, relationship-based care. Our programs are designed to meet each child where they are, from infancy through young adulthood. Families across Brookhaven, Marietta, Duluth, Jonesboro, Lawrenceville, and the entire Metro Atlanta area trust us for dependable support and consistent progress. Every step we take is grounded in our values of Care, Community, and Consistency.
CORE SERVICES
Programs That Support Every Stage of Growth
Our team provides a warm, welcoming environment for children of all abilities in Chamblee and throughout Metro Atlanta. We work alongside parents, caregivers, and therapists to help each child feel supported, regulated, and confident.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Since 1969, we’ve advocated for care, community, and consistency as the foundation of inclusive support for all children.
Exceptionally Small Class Sizes
Our classrooms serve far fewer students than typical centers, allowing highly personalized attention and meaningful developmental support. This creates an environment where every child is seen, understood, and supported.
Integrated Therapy Support
Families choose their own therapists, and sessions happen on-site during program hours. This keeps evenings free for family time and ensures consistent, seamless support throughout the day.
Continuum of Care From Birth Through Young Adulthood
Our programs follow children across decades of growth, providing stability and familiarity that build confidence. Families rely on us for dependable, long-term developmental support.
A Proven Model of Inclusion Since 1969
With over 50 years of service, our experience shows in how we teach, support, and advocate. Our approach benefits both children with disabilities and their typically developing peers.
Community-Focused and Family-Centered
We work closely with parents, professionals, donors, and volunteers to deliver programs that strengthen the entire community. Every decision is guided by our values of care, community, and consistency.
Hustle for Hope
Our annual community fundraiser that brings families, supporters, and advocates together to strengthen inclusive programs at the Elaine Clark Center. Participants unite around movement, community, and impact — all in support of children and young adults with special needs.
Day of Service
Every year, we host The Day of Service at Elaine Clark - a special opportunity for youth organizations, community leaders, advocates, volunteers, and athletes to come together and enhance our school environment for our children.

Frequently Asked Questions
What ages do you work with?
We support children and young adults from 6 weeks to 30 years old, creating a true continuum of care that grows with your family over time.
What if I can’t afford a program?
We offer scholarships and financial support so cost doesn’t stand between your child and the care they need. Our goal is to make sure every family has access to consistent, high-quality support.
How small are your class sizes?
Our programs are intentionally small: our childcare program supports about 40 children total, compared to the 150–200 you’ll find in most centers. Our respite and out-of-school programs serve around 15 children, while similar programs often enroll 50–100. These low ratios create calmer environments, safer transitions, and the individualized attention every child deserves.
Can my child get therapies on-site?
Yes. Families choose their own therapists, who can work with children during program hours. This integrated approach cuts down on travel, reduces scheduling stress, and helps families spend more meaningful time together at home.
How can I support the center?
You can donate, volunteer, join our monthly donor community, become a corporate sponsor, or give through Georgia’s APOGEE tax credit program. Every contribution strengthens our programs, scholarships, and advocacy efforts.
How does the Elaine Clark Center advocate for inclusive care?
We share our proven small-program model with families, partners, and community leaders to help expand inclusive, relationship-based support across more communities. Advocacy is woven into our mission and our daily work.
